As a military spouse preparing for our fifth PCS (Permanent Change of Station), I know firsthand how challenging these transitions can be. But even more so, I recognize how tough it can be for our resilient military kids who experience these changes right alongside us.
As we gear up for this next cross-country move—my daughter’s third major relocation in just three short years—I’m doing everything I can to ease her anxiety. That includes having open conversations about her big feelings, letting her be part of the packing process, and recently, creating AI-generated coloring pages that reflect the experiences she’ll soon encounter.
I’m sharing these pages in hopes that they can serve as a helpful tool for other military families, sparking meaningful conversations with their little ones as they navigate this journey too. Please feel free to share them with others who might find them helpful!
